Did he really just say the health care debate was on c-span? That was what i was thinking and i am not a republican. I am starting to wonder if obama is mentally competent. Maybe it is compulsive lying because it sounds like he is starting to believe his own lies

The typical reaction and response of EVERYONE that watches will be, “How long can anyone keep saying….uh….uh….uh….uh….uh…uh, without putting EVERYONE to sleep?”

Answer by Lying Republican Moron

They would say they regular BS. Such as Obama is a Muslim, but attended Christian church with “racists” reverend. That he is a communists, marxist and socialist, but he gives billions of $ $ to capitalist banks. That is was born in Kenya and the rest of their BS which falls on dead years.

Answer by mrsengk

I give credit to to Republicans because it was actually a very civil and honest exchange. I hope they make it a regular event and start trying to find more common ground.

Answer by MNU

We should try not to demonize people who disagree with us. Yes, Obama has been called some ridiculous things, but the name-callers are just a televised minority.

The Q & A I watched today from Florida would indicate the answer to be A. Because I am not a politician I am entitled to do any of the above, but actually I watched the whole thing. I don’t like Obama, but I admire him for going for the discussions and hope he does more of them. I realistically don’t believe it is going to change anything though.

Answer by J P

I find this question to be very revealing, especially the “change the channel” option. The majority of Liberals I see posting here pride themselves on never watching Fox News. I regularly see comments which proudly proclaim that they would never subject themselves to a station they disagree with. How is that different than what you impute to Republicans in your question?

Answer by Redjr01

Most intelligent republicans will give him his shot. They can’t do anything else. If they disagree with him they do it respectfully.

The neo-cons will do all of B C and D.

Honestly, I think the answer is E – All of the above.

Why?

Many of them are listening, but I think that they are so that they can use what he says against him, or see how they can twist it to show that he is a “Muslim/Arab/Socialist/Terrorist/Communist/insert favorite label here”.

I wish that people could understand that they days of Democrat/Republican is over. It is not going to be if you are one, then you hate the other. That is worn very thin on the MAJORITY of the voters of this nation. I think everyone is done voting in one, and getting more of the same that the other gave them. The majority of the voters – INDEPENDENTS – are sick of the BS. They want people working for the better of this nation. I think that someone that ran a member of NO party would do great in an election right now. Because any party is just more of the same. Things have got to change. Nothing is going to change until the politicians finally get that through their Burberry suits.

Answer by Smart Kat

A and B are the most common responses from Republicans. It is a very small percentage of Republicans who think he is a Muslim.

And there is a HUGE difference between “Socialist!” & “Terrorist!” The republican who thinks he is a terrorist is more rare than the republican who thinks he is a muslim.

But I think maybe half of the people who go with B would throw in a “socialist” comment.

I recorded it so I could watch more than a few minutes worth.

Answer by Bill

A, B, and D. First they will listen carefully to what he says. That’s what Republicans do.. Then they will consider it against things they know to be true, something that Obama’s Democrat supporters are usually not capable of doing. ONLY THEN will they shout “B.S.” Hopefully they will not change the channel. I hope they will all shout in the streets so others will know how dangerous it is to have a SOCIALIST in the white house.

Wise people are against Obama. Foolish people will vote for him again.

Answer by Morpheus

Republicans are generally drunks and child molesters – they don’t waste their time on SOCIALIST or ARAB or TERRORIST – they go right to the “N” word.

You can bet – in a republican’s trailer house – the “N” word is constantly on his lips every waking moment.
