Problem made by Dave H: Why is the KKK not considered a terrorist group?

Why is the KKK not considered a terrorist group?

Under the Military Commissions Act of 2006, the president can name and identify any group he chooses as a “terrorist” group. The consequnces would be freezing thier funds and dismantling the group. Why doesn’t Bush do the right thing and end this hateful group that advocates violence against others? Why are people with “White Power” logos allowed on Yahoo!? They are the real terrorists, not some guy who isn’ even wanted by the FBI for 9/11.

Truly things to know about Why is the KKK not considered a terrorist group? you will choose to fix conditions itself. ask some non americans – in Canada we consider them terrorists

Answer by dave b

I was wondering the same thing about gangs like the Crips and Bloods and MS-13.

They need to be considered terrorist groups as well.

Answer by srbi m

By any standard, KKK indeed satisfy all definations of a terrorist organization:

1)violence against civilians

2)achieve political or ideological objectives

3) creating fear.

Because they’re protected.

Answer by michael w

Good question. I do agree with you 100% This group of thugs who choise to hide their faces should have been made an illegal organisation years ago.

Answer by rsbobeenie

Same reason why they won’t put an end to…

MS-13

Bloods

Crips

Latin Kings

Black Panthers

I also can’t understand the reason why the KKK is still in existence. The only thing I do know, is that the number of members have gone down greatly. If you look into the history of the KKK they did not only target African Americas. They also commit crimes towards, Jews, Irish Catholics, Chinese and Mexicans. The above list is just as guilty and even more so. Part of their initiation into the gang is murder, rape etc. MS-13 just recently killed 2 innocent African-American in Queens, NY for absolutely no reason. These boys were not related to any gangs. They were wearing blue shirts. More African-American are killed by Blood, Crips etc. than the KKK. Have you ever listened to Louis Farrakhan (Nation of Islam). Not lately, but this man is vile. Louis Farrakhan has marked himself a notable figure on the extremist scene by making hateful statements targeting Jews, whites and homosexuals. To mention only one hate group, is not fair. You should have mentioned all of them.

Don’t let racism make you racist.

When was the last time they sponsored a terrorist act?

Would you really want to live in a country where people who disagreed with the majority opinion were labeled as ‘terrorists?’

If the people we disagree with do not have freedom of speech – then we do not have freedom of speech either.

Answer by Dwarfcock

Interesting question-

Could it have anything to do wioth the fact they are white and Christian?

I’ll bet you if they were Muslims they would be on a terrorist watch list..

Answer by uraypatel

The same reason other gangs that reside in the US are not considered terrorists.

Who’s the Terrorist

Persona using Who’s the Terrorist

Asking the question that needs to be asked, "Who’s the terrorist now?", this man’s placard highlights the hypocrisy of foreign policies that support military actions that have now been earmarked as Crimes Against Humanity by the U.N.

On July 21st in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, CANDIL and other organizations organized a peace rally denouncing aggressive Israeli tactics and Canada’s support of the assault, emphasized by Prime Minister Harper’s statement that Israeli aggression was merely a "measured response".

There has been widespread criticism of Canada’s recent stance on Mideast politics that has seen a nation that prides itself on peacekeeping and honest peace-brokering more closely align itself with the Bush White House’s policy and U.S. policy in general. The minority Conservative government of Stephen Harper is taking advantage of a weakened and leaderless main opposition party to dramatically alter Canada’s domestic and foreign policies. As with many issues of injustice, widespread and vocal opposition to these policies is absolutely necessary to put pressure on our politicians.

The event was organized by CANDIL and the Muslim Council of Canada among others. For more upcoming events, check out the email lists and calendars listed on the Activist Network
