So my computer got locked by the “FBI” and then I found out it’s a virus. It’s supposedly the FBI blocking it for some illegal violation and asks to pay $ 200 within 48 hours or I’ll be put in a criminal case. How do I get rid of this? Should I got to a computer specialized person? Any kind of help is well appreciated! Thank you!

It’s a fraud do not pay there is a way to remove it it’s a list of steps I don’t no it specifically research on it!! But don’t pay

Simple. try Safemode with networking by tapping F8 on your keyboard when booting into windows
if the desktop appears you can proceed
if it does not you might want to take it in ..
if your desktop did show up in safemode with networking you can go to http://malwarebytes.org
(DO NOT GO ON ANY WEBSITES YOU ENTER ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION INTO!)
download malwarebytes and install it
run a FULL scan
you should be good to go
just restart and hey presto!
Note: This is called Ransomware for a reason NEVER pay these things money they just want your info.
Also note some types of this virus will create what is called a Rootkit or Bootkit
i recommend downloading TDSS Killer (Do a google search) and run that to make sure…

It sounds like you have something called ransomware, It isn’t the FBI, it’s happened in different places in the world using different names. like west Yorkshire police, and metropolitan police.
I also heard it’s a pain in the bum to remove, just whatever you do don’t pay.
