A home page does not have to be a website. You can create your own HTML on your computer and bring it up as the home page. What would be a good one if you could design your own? For example many TV shows show a logo on computer screens what would be a good one. Like “Jeffersonian Anthropology Unit” with a logo and a sign in box or “FBI”, CIA, “White House”, etc.

Whatever you like and I have done that myself. Works pretty slick with all your links arranged precisely how like them. I have a few small pictures on mine and links to folders on my computer as well. One page does it all kind of thing.
I made a banner on flamingtext.com and put it on mine too. Static pic, not animated.

I don’t see the practicality of setting anything other than a search engine or a “speed dial” as the homepage. If I had to choose, it would be my own personalised speed dial.

I don’t have an answer, but I do have a question. Are you referring to the generic Yahoo home page? I ask b/c about a year or more ago Yahoo’s home page options changed and putting one’s calendar there was apparently disabled. I want to see my calendar pronto. If I have to page around to get it, I forget that it exists. Is this related to your question and, if so, would any of the suggestions work for my purpose? Thanks.
