It isn’t even possible. Action requires reaction. December 7th 1941.

~Had the US not deliberately provoked the Japanese to attack, had FDR actually acted like the neutral he claimed to be, had FDR not effectively declared war on Germany during his Fireside Chat of 9/11 1941, had the “Rainbow Five” not been leaked and had a few other things not been going on, culminating with the Hull Note, perhaps the US could have stayed out of the war. But those things did happen and so did the consequences.

I’m not going to go into the provocations that led the Japanese to believe they had no recourse but to launch Kido Butai at Pearl. For starters, read the McCollum Memo, then compare its blueprint to what FDR was doing. Read what CinCPac James Otto Richardson had to say when he was ordered to move the Pacific Fleet from San Diego to Pearl and when he twice refused to obey the order in an effort to avoid the, as he rightfully believed, inevitable attack it would provoke. Check into what Chester Nimitz and Husband Kimmel had to say about the lunacy of the move. FDR knew that there would be no possible way to defend the fleet there from a carrier launched air attack and he knew, from US intelligence sources as well as those of at least 4 other nations, that the Japanese were engaged in war games practicing just such an attack. Read what the Japanese themselves intended with the attack. Their goal was peace and honest neutrality from the US, not a war they knew they could not win.

Had FDR truly been neutral, he would not have sent aid to Ho Chi Minh and the Vietminh, promising to help them in their war for independence against the Vichy French and Japanese. Had the US not been in the war, FDR would not have been able to stab Ho and the Vietnamese in the back at Tehran and HST would not have been in a position to compound the treachery in 1945 and 1946. Ike would never have been president, thus he could not have double-crossed the Vietnamese yet again in 1954 and again in 1956. Thus, the Vietnam War would not have happened.

As to the war in Europe, the outcome would have been the same. The US and UK contributed but little to the destruction of the Third Reich. The real war was fought between the Oder and the Volga. Before the first US troops saw action – against the Vichy French in North Africa who were not only expected to lay down their arms but to change sides as well – in November 1942, the Red Army had repelled Barbarossa and was handing the Heer Army one devastating defeat after another all along the front. By the time the US/UK forces landed in Italy, the out come of the war had long since been determined and the Red Army was getting ready to destroy what was left of Germany’s trained and experienced troops at Kursk and Smolensk. Make no mistake. The Red Army won the war in Europe and it did so virtually by itself.

Had the US not entered the war, the look of post war Europe would have been far different. Who knows what that look would be. Your guess is a good as mine.

The Middle East would have been a different place too, as would South and Central America. Since Ike would not have been president, Operations TP/Ajax, PB/History and a score of others would not have been ordered. US policy under Eisenhower was to overthrow democratically elected reform governments that were less than friendly to US business interests and to replace them with brutal tyrants, despots and madmen who would look out for the well-being of the Fortune 500. JFK and LBJ followed Ike’s lead, as have virtually every president since. One of Ike’s projects was to put the Shah back on the Peacock throne in Iran. Having done so, he authorized the CIA to create, organize, train and assist SAVAK, the Shah’s bloodthirsty secret police. Other CIA “successes” installed in power Saddam, Diem, Papa Doc, Suharto, Pinochet, Armas, Mobuto Seko, Trujillo, the Juntas of Ecuador, Bolivia, Greece, Uruguay and Brazil and a host of others. Had Ike not been in position to start the ball rolling, it is doubtful the other CIA dominoes would have fallen. It continues today. Among our more recent creations and former allies are Osama bin Laden, the Taliban and the Afghan warlords. It was CIA and covert US funding that built the terrorist bases in Pakistan that so trouble us today. When they were built, they were built for the “patriots, nationalists and freedom fighters” that were foment the insurrection in Afghanistan. The goal was to force Kabul to ask Moscow for help. When the Soviets complied with treaty obligations and sent in the tanks and the Hinds, we called it the Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan. When the Soviets left, we turned our backs on our erstwhile buddies and betrayed them. Now we call those very same people Warlords, terrorists and the Taliban. Same people doing the same thing we trained them, financed them, armed them and helped them to do. We just changed the names when the guns pointed the other war. Thus, WTC and 9/11 can be traced to US involvement in WWII indirectly and directly to Ike and the CIA and ongoing interference and disruption of the internal politics of sovereign nations the world over.

Ah, yes, but for our involvement in WWII, the Soviets would have walked on the moon before us. Had the US not been in the war, we could not have forgiven all those Nazi war criminals that we brought across the pond during Operation Paperclip. Without Werner von Braun and Hubertus Stughold and their buddies, we’d have never caught up with the Soviets in rocket technology in time for Buzz and Neil to make that “one small step for man”.

How far do you want to take this? History played out the way that it happened and the mental masturbation over the what ifs is meaningless.

Answer by Auseein

if the american would never enter world war 2 then they couldnt fight the japanese that bomb pearl harbor or stop the aryan invasion of britain after they conquer mainland europe

this will lead to a power struggle between the germans and the slavs and bloodbath in the mediterrean sea around the middle east

and desert storm would never happen

and japan would start to pound on australia
