As long as it’s based in the US, operates under US law and only US law, and is staffed by US personnel, sure I’m for it. I’m dead set against surrendering so much as one iota of US sovereignty.

Feel free to kick yourself in the butt. Who in their right mind would trust an “international police force”. How would they be chosen and what would their authority be? What would stop any nation from infiltrating a force like this and spy on enemy nations. Anytime that you create an external organization you weaken the individual authority of your own nation. For example, right now we are allies with both Turkey and Israel, we are involved in any mess that they have between them because we have agreed to stand beside them. If Israel gets into too much trouble we will be involved in a police action (war), whether we like it or not. In a way because we have these agreements we have given away our freedom of choice. It is the wisest course of action to avoid any external agreements if at all possible, and stand on our own authority and sovereignty. Anything we agree to gives up a portion of that sovereignty, no matter how small.

Just. A quick look at how totally useless and rabidly anti-American the United Nations is should convince you what a terrible idea this is.

Answer by pat z

There is something sort of like that. It’s called Interpol. But it only works when various countries, courts and governments cooperate.

Don’t forget: the United Nations was set up as a “new world order” and look at how well that’s working!

Answer by coasters2kool

That’s a bad idea. First of all it would never work. When do you see the U.S. joining forces with Iran and North Korea? How about NEVER.

Also, whose going to decide whether or not it’s a crime? Every country has different laws. There will always be a disagreement.

All of these worldwide things are useless, pathetic, will never work, and just bad ideas.

The US military is an example of world police.

Need to bring them All home and let other countries take care of their own problems so that the US can take care of its own.
